Hi there! I’m Tiffany Wong.

I’m an actor & director living on Gadigal land (Sydney, Australia).

I graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts (Languages) majoring in Performance Studies, Music, and Chinese Studies and a Diploma of Language Studies in French & Francophone Studies. I have completed an Actors Residency at NIDA and am currently training with Andrea Moor (Practical Aesthetics), Amy Kersey (AMAW Sydney), Tracey Kay (Nobbs Suzuki Praxis) and Pat Golden at HB Studio (The Art of Directing). She recently trained with Natasha McNamara at ATYP (American Accent), Bill Wright at Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (Voice/Monologues), and the Summer Program with the Shanghai Theatre Academy (Peking Opera & Chinese Traditional Arts).

My recent acting work has included the feature film, Water Horse, web-series, Sydney WebFest’s official nominee, We Kill Clowns, and Roller Coaster Testers, Setting Sun Film Festival’s Prey School, and various short films. I was in Animal Farm for the New Theatre, and have been involved with Sydney Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival, Montague Basement & KXT bAKEHOUSE, Australian Theatre for Young People, NSW Education Standards Authority, the Northern Beaches Council, Shopfront Arts Co-op, Milk Crate Theatre, One Player Short (Taipei), Sydney University Dramatic Society, Backstage, and Ryde Youth Theatre.

I will be directing Three Fat Virgins Unassembled by Ovidia Yu for KXT Storylines & Slanted Theatre and associate directing Babette’s Feast for Joining The Dots. I directed the debut production for Slanted Theatre of Ching Chong Chinaman in January which opened to a sold-out season and am currently dramaturging an online development of a new play. I also have been an Assistant Director to Lucy Clements for New Ghosts Theatre Company for Iphigenia In Splott and Johann Walraven for New Theatre for The Removalists, both of which received rave reviews.

I am the Artistic Director of Slanted Theatre, a member of KXT Step Up, and on the Diversity and Inclusion Committee for Short + Sweet 2021. I am a proud member of Actors Equity.

When I am not acting or directing, you can find me teaching drama and music (double bass, cello, and violin) to primary school students or also practicing the kung fu staff form and sword fighting in kalis. I love children’s TV – ask for me for recommendations! I’m also known as the Woman who Married Her Diploma.
