Hi there! I’m Tiffany Wong.
I’m an emerging actor & director living and working on Gadigal & Cammeraygal land (Sydney, Australia).
I graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts (Languages) majoring in Performance Studies, Music, and Chinese Studies and a Diploma of Language Studies in French & Francophone Studies. I have completed an Actors Residency at NIDA. I am currently training with Natasha McNamara (American Accent), Tracey Kay (Nobbs Suzuki Praxis, Peter Kalos (Acting: The Method – Lee Strasberg & Stella Adler), Carissa Licciardello (Directing), Annette Kosseris-Haynes ATCL, LKSDA, ASDA, LSDA (Drama) and Suzi Dougherty (Acting Techniques).
My upcoming acting projects include the rehearsed reading of Sophia Davidson Gluyas’ new work, Tell Me Something? in March hosted by the Northern Beaches Council. My recent screen work has included the feature film, Water Horse, web-series, Sydney WebFest’s official nominee We Kill Clowns and Roller Coaster Testers, and various short films. Within the last six months, I was in Animal Farm for the New Theatre, and was involved in readings Montague Basement & KXT bAKEHOUSE, Australian Theatre for Young People & NSW Education Standards Authority, and developments for Shopfront Arts Co-op & Milk Crate Theatre.
I will also be Assistant Director to Johann Walraven for The Removalists at the New Theatre in April. I recently directed the debut production for Slanted Theatre of Ching Chong Chinaman in January which opened to a sold-out season and as Assistant Director to Lucy Clements for New Ghosts Theatre Company for Iphigenia In Splott which received rave reviews.
I am passionate about community and have been working on building an online community for Asian actors from all over the globe to connect (especially after lockdown) where we hold industry Q&A’s, networking chats and feedback sessions. When I’m not working, I’m at kung fu training or tutoring children in music or reading a play (to see what I should direct next).
